With such a wealth of outdoor activities local to Southwold, from Surfing to Golf, there really is something for everyone! 

We have compiled a list of useful information and links relating to the activities listed below. As such, we are not responsible for the updating of the content of third party sites. Whilst we appreciate there is a great deal of information out there on local activities, many different guides, instructors and services in the area, our aim is merely to provide some helpful local information and inspiration, as a starting point for a truly memorable holiday!

SURFING

Les Gets is part of the Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil ski area. An immense mountain domain comprising 12 linked Franco-Swiss ski resorts, a skiing area of 400 km2, 194 ski lifts, 296 marked pistes, 214 km of cross-country skiing, 13 snow parks, 400 mountain chalet restaurants and 1,300 ski instructors. Check out the Boardercross (click here), built on the Les Gets slopes by the SnowConcept Company. It was designed by David Ny, the official designer for the winter Olympics in Vancouver. and this is one of the very few permanent Boardercrosses built to Olympic standard.  Come and try the Snowpark (click here) on the Chavannes side with a lot of kicks, rails and boxes for all levels. From the top of the Mont Chery, the panorama is already a discovery ! From the Mont-Blanc range to the Portes du Soleil summits, including the “Pointe Percée”, this view won’t leave anyone feeling indifferent! There is a good choice of bolted climbing routes around Morzine and Les Gets, to explore and experience the natural rock faces of the Alps. Ideal for all levels of climber, from beginner to intermediate.

Weave in and out of the pine trees and set out for adventures across immaculate white plains. Stunning landscapes are dotted here and there with picturesque mountain chalets and traditional farmsteads.
